Things have been quite quiet over here on Beauty Rant lately…sorry about that! It feels like I’ve been ill since Christmas and even now I’ve got a cold, my immune system sucks.
Anyway, to jump right back into Beauty Rant I thought what better way than to do the 30 Days Of Beauty Challenge. Yep, that’s right – there is going to be a post going up on Beauty Rant every day for the next 30 days!
The challenge was initially created for beauty lovers on Instagram but I suck at Instagram so soz.
For a sneak peak of what you’re going to be seeing from me over the next 30 days, read more about the challenge below 🙂
Today is officially day 1 of the 30 Days of Beauty Challenge so I’m going to be telling you guys all about my favourite beauty brands 🙂
Until the start of this year I was a Milani noob; I’d only heard about the brand on YouTube and didn’t think you could get it here in the UK so was really excited to see you can buy the majority of Milani’s products on Beauty Bay. As I mentioned in my Milani Matte Lip Creme review, for Christmas my boyfriend bought me some products to try out (he’s a babe) and ever since then Milani has been one of my favourite makeup brands. The quality of their products for the price tag is ridiculous and I’ve loved every product I’ve used by them which is why they’re one of my favourite beauty brands!
When it comes to drugstore foundation I feel like Rimmel is the go-to, it definitely has been for me for years. Whilst like every brand, some of Rimmel’s products can be hit or miss (read my review of the Rimmel Fresher Skin Foundation…yikes), 90% of the time I love Rimmel’s products and my ultimate go-to foundation is from Rimmel so this is a brand I trust.
Similarly to Rimmel, Maybelline is a well known brand in the UK for cheap good quality makeup. I love the vast selection of products Maybelline offer and the shade ranges of their foundations for deeper skin tones is great. My favourite mascara and my second favourite concealer are from Maybelline! I’ve heard the eyeshadows from Maybelline aren’t great but this tends to be the case with drugstore brands, I tend to buy eyeshadows from higher end brands as the quality is more consistent.
Moving away from makeup slightly, my favourite skincare brand has to be Clinique – literally, my entire skincare routine consists of Clinique products! Whilst I usually like my skincare product to have a citrus scent, I don’t mind that Clinique’s products are scentless because they work so well and are worth the higher price point. I also have some makeup from Clinique that I’ve been loving using, an overall great brand that makes no fuss skincare feel luxurious!
I hope you guys enjoyed reading all about my favourite beauty brands and don’t forget to come back tomorrow to see my all time favourite foundations!
