My Favourite Foundations – 30 Days of Beauty Challenge

Today is day 2 of the 30 Days of Beauty Challenge (woop!) which means it’s time to let you guys in on my favourite foundations that I swear by šŸ™‚

top 4 foundations

L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation

This is actually a new addition to my foundation favourites, the L’Oreal Paris True Match Foundation! This is a foundation that has been advertised so heavily over the years, online and offline, but I’d never thought to go out and give it a try until recently. I bought this online a few months ago and I’ve been loving the natural finish it gives. It’s super lightweight so it hardly feels like you’re wearing anything but it gives you a nice amount of covered with a matte finish. I especially like this foundation because it setsĀ to almost a powder finish so I only have to slightly powder my face when wearing this product and it won’t get oily throughout the day.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

I cannot rave about this foundation enough, it is my go-to foundation for day or night and I can’t fault it. This is the first foundation that I actually feel fits my skin tone perfectly without looking too yellow or pink toned. I apply this foundation using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion spongeĀ and it gives it a gorgeous full coverage finish that I’m in love with. I’ve been through so many bottles of this and I will continue to purchase it when I run out even though I have so many others to try out!

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer

I’d been intrigued to try out this foundation for years because the applicator is funky and I had seen from other bloggers who have tried this out that the coverage looking amazing so I finally jumped on the bandwagon! I ordered mine online and oh my, it is not clear at ALL online which shade is the lightest. On the Debenhams website it is near impossible to see which shades are the lightest and in the drop down menu the shades are ordered alphabetically rather than lightest to darkest…the struggle is real. In the end I popped on to YouTube and found someone with a similar complexion to mine and just went with it, luckily it’s a perfect shade match for me! This foundation is so different to other foundations I’ve tried in the sense that it dries lighter than it originallyĀ applies, which in my case was perfect as when I first applied it it looked quite orange but soon transformed to my skin tone. The is by far the most full coverage foundation I own and whilst it does slightly cling to dry patches, if you exfoliate and moisturise well before applying this will give you a gorgeous full coverage finish that will last all day long!

Milani Conceal + Perfect Foundation

If you’re looking for a full coverage foundation that gives you with a healthy but not dewy glow, I definitely recommend this foundation. A Beauty Bay find, this foundation was out of stock for ages as it was the lightest shade back then so when it came back in stock I had to snap it up. I apply this foundation with a dense Morphe brush and I love the finish it gives, you almost look like a mannequin! Since I bought the shade 01 Creamy Vanilla they’ve actually just released an even lighter shade I believe in 00 which I want to try as 01 is a little on the yellow side for me but I think once it’s summer here in the UK it’ll just make me appear slightly tanned which I’m fine with. The only thing I don’t like about this foundation is the scent, it’s a very overwhelming mix of plastic and floral but it does dissipate once applied.

Let me know what your favourite foundations are in the comments and come back tomorrow to see my face of the day for day 3! x
