Happy day 6 of the 30 Days of Beauty Challenge!
You can never have too much makeup, but I have to say my makeup collection is getting a little bit ridiculous! Will I stop buying makeup? No. Anyway – today I thought I’d let you guys in on my favourite beauty products 🙂
Okay, okay – I know you guys are sick of hearing me talk about this foundation but I love this stuff. For £7.99 this foundation gives you such amazing coverage with a natural finish so you don’t look like a cake face which is great now we’re coming into spring and the temperature is getting a little warmer. I generally find with other foundations when it’s warm out and my skin heats up it makes foundations oxidise and become greasy but this foundation doesn’t budge; I’ve even been caught in the rain wearing this foundation before and still looked pretty damn good!
I’ve been using this mascara for years and haven’t even attempted to fall in love with another mascara because I know I’ll be disappointed! This has been named as the UK’s number 1 selling mascara, and I can see why. The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara gives your lashes so much volume and length as well as making your lashes the blackest they’ve ever been. For £7.99, why not give it a shot?
I think every beauty lover has that one lip liner that they use under every nudey pink lipstick they own, and the Rimmel Exaggerate Lipliner in Addiction is mine! I’ve had this lipliner for years and have repurchased many times, it’s just the perfect my lips but better colour and lasts ALL day!
Benefit Gimme Brow
When I was a teen my eyebrows were non-existant; I’d shaped them to be so thin that by the time I left secondary school I had that “oh sh*t” moment when you realise it isn’t the 90’s anymore and brows are everything when it comes to perfecting your makeup. Luckily for me, my eyebrows have grown back pretty well and are slowly getting back to a nice shape however the Benefit Gimme Brow gel is the perfect product to fake fuller brows! I love the splash of colour it gives my eyebrows whilst making them appear less patchy and last all day without smudging. The tiny applicator helps you get the product where you want it to be and makes sure you don’t end up smearing it all over your face! I often wear this on it’s own and don’t even bother adding powder or pencil because I like the natural finish this gives.
Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Wipes
It’s been a long time since I used face wipes to make my makeup off as I’ve got into a routine of using my Clinique Take The Day Off Balm; using face wipes to remove foundation always makes my skin crawl! I don’t mind using face wipes to initially talk my eye makeup off before using my balm but I hate how face wipes drag on the skin when you’re removing face makeup. However, I love having some face wipes in my bag on hot days where I don’t wear makeup and need a splash of moisture. I’ve been using these wipes since I was like 12 years old and the formula has never changed from what I’ve noticed, they’re just a great little staple to keep in your bag.
Here in the UK there seems to be some huge Essie hype when it comes to nail varnishes. I personally have only ever tried a few nail varnishes by Essie because I always go back to my go-to nail varnish brand, Barry M. For £3.99, their Gelly polishes are to die for! I’d say 90% of my nail varnish collection is from Barry M because the quality is just amazing and the colour range is fab. My favourite colour for spring and summer is Dragon Fruit, a purple toned pink with the most amazing shine.
So there you guys go, 5 holy grail beauty products that I swear by!
