Drugstore & The Body Shop Haul

I told myself that June would be my super saving month where I wouldn’t buy any makeup…then literally broke that promise to myself on June 1st. Sigh.

ANYWAY! Over the weekend my sister and I went for some retail therapy and I’ve picked up some very exciting products that I can’t wait to try out and share with you guys. My last haul was products from The Body Shop and I’m including some products in this haul too because it was 3 for £20 across all skincare and I couldn’t resist!

The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Fragrance Mist

I’m a bit of a noob when it comes to fragrance mists; I usually prefer perfumes but as I’m almost out of my favourite perfume and am hoping for the Black Opium perfume for my birthday, I wanted to find a nice alternative. The Body Shop have a good range of fragrance mists varying from sweet scents, to musk and citrus. I chose the scent Japanese Cherry Blossom as it’s a gorgeous subtle floral scent for spring with a hint of blueberries. I’m sure the longevity of this mist won’t be as good as a perfume but for £8 why not!

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Butter & Exfoliating Gel Body Scrub

I lost my mind when I discovered The Body Shop had released a mojito collection. Mojito is by far my favourite cocktail and I love the strong minty lime scent which is why I was so quick to grab these two goodies! I’m pleasantly surprised with how these products truly do smell like a mojito, it definitely isn’t one of those products that promises to smell like strawberry then ends up smells like chemicals! Perfect for spring and summer, I can’t wait to walk around smelling delicious 🙂

The Body Shop Brush On Radiance

I feel like The Body Shop makeup isn’t advertised very well so I hadn’t heard anything about these highlighting pearls until I saw someone use them in a YouTube tutorial and I instantly wanted to try it! I have a lot of blinding highlighters such as the Sleek Solstice palette and the highlighter in the Makeup Revolution Love The Revolution palette but have been looking for a highlighter than will make me look naturally sunkissed and glowing, this looks like the perfect product to achieve that look.

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray

Since getting my hair cut into a long bob I’ve found that my hair doesn’t stay straight for longer than an hour which is super frustrating but I remembered that years ago I used this product once at my friend’s house and I went on the hunt to find it in Superdrug. I’m pretty sure this product was around £3 which is a bargain, hopefully it is as good as I remember!

E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush & Eyeshadow Blending Brush

Superdrug have recently started stocking E.L.F. products so I had to pick up some brushes as I’ve heard such good things about them! I picked up the Ultimate Blending Brush as I’ve heard it’s great for full coverage foundation application and the Eyeshadow Blending Brush because you can never have enough blending brushes!

Maybelline Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation On-The-Go

Cushion foundations have been around for a while but I hadn’t jumped on the band wagon…until now. I’ve heard mixed reviews on this cushion foundation, Maybelline foundations in general I’ve heard have poor shade ranges, but I thought I’d give it a shot to see what the coverage is like and if this has potential to be my new go-to foundation!

Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid

Do you remember earlier when I said I already have several blinding highlighters? Yeah…you can never have too many! I’ve been in awe of this product for ages and have been dying to get my hands on it! I’ve never tried a liquid highlight but when I swatched this on my hand the pigmentation was insane. Here is a swatch of the Maybelline liquid highlighter on bare skin…

Expect a dedicated post coming very soon 🙂

Let me know in the comments what beauty products you’ve bought lately!
