NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade Review

Today’s post is going to be all about the extremely hyped NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade. Is it worth the hype?

When it comes to brows I like to stick to what I know. I’ve been using the same eyebrow powder for 7 years (omg – that’s dedication) and now that I’ve fell in love with the Benefit Gimme Brow, why would I ever want to stray away from what I know works…

Brow pomades have been the ‘it’ brow product for a hot minute and I’ve been wanting to try one for a while so had high hopes when I picked up the NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade. The go-to brow pomade is the Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbrow but girl… I’m not spending £15 on something I might never use again!

The NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade retails for £6 on the Boots website and has 5 different shades varying from blonde and brown to black. Let’s read the product claims:

Give extra life to your brows with our easy-to-use brow pomade that glides onto skin and hair. Our smudge-proof waterproof formula comes in five shades to coax brows into prime shape. Stand up to humidity in style!

I got the shade Chocolate as it’s a warm mid to dark brown which I thought would be a nice match for my hair. I usually like my eyebrows to be a little darker than my hair but this shade matches my hair perfectly – which I’m not mad at.

The first time I used this product I hated it.

I tried it on myself as well as on my mom and it was a complete fail. It applied too creamy and thick which left my eyebrows full of chunks so I was ready to throw this product away from the get go.

However, a few weeks ago I sat down at my beauty station to give it a second chance and I have fallen completely in love with it. After some trial and error I have discovered due to how pigmented this product is you have to barely tap your brush in the product to get the rich pigment. Using a small amount and working slowly it applies like a wax and makes it so easy to fill in sparse areas as well as completely reshape your brows.

Below is the NYX Brow Pomade on one brow…

And on both brows…

After testing out this product this is now my go-to product for a bold brow!

Have you tried out the NYX Brow Pomade? 🙂

  1. I’ve tried it and I like it but their shades pull too warm for me. I prefer neutral to cool tone for my brows. I use the ABH Dip Brow & Brow Wiz in medium brown and I like the result.
