Makeup Revolution Golden Lights Vivid Baked Highlighter Review & Demo

One of my favourite parts of makeup application is highlighting so I’m always on the look out for a blinding highlight to add to my collection. A highlighter that I’ve heard so many great things about is the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights so on my latest visit to Superdrug I had to pick one up, especially for the tiny £3 price tag!

As my skin is extremely fair I’ve never tried a golden highlight out of fear it’ll look like a gold stripe on my face and usually opt for more icy, cool toned highlighters instead.

Although this highlighter is called Golden Lights I personally think it is more of a champagne shade which only makes it more wearable for fair skin. I love the detailing in the pan and think it looks a lot more expensive than it actually is despite the actually packaging feeling a little cheap (but what can you expect for £3??)

I had expected the formula to be a little more creamy as I find this to be quite chalky however the pigmentation is incredible and the reflect is beautiful. I tried the highlighter out using a fan brush as well as my usual Morphe M501 and I prefer the natural glow it gives with a fan brush. I used a fan brush to apply it in the below image and you can see it just blends into the skin beautifully 🙂

All in all for £3 I think the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter is a must have for your makeup bag and if you haven’t give it a try I highly recommend you do! x
