Makeup Revolution Wish List

I’ve been trying to sit down for the past month and write something, anything – but I couldn’t. The past few months have been stressful and in turn I fell out of love with writing, so I’m sorry there’s been nothing but tumbleweeds on Beauty Rant lately.

But I’m back and ready to blog as I want to blog; whether that be 1 post every 2 weeks or 4 posts in one week. Who knows?

Whilst I have been adding a few bits and bobs of makeup to my collection over the past few months, it feels like it’s been a while since I had a splurge and bought a selection of exciting new products to try. A brand I really want to explore further is Makeup Revolution.

Makeup Revolution is a super affordable brand that you can get in Superdrug which is very well known for creating some amazing eyeshadow palette dupes for popular high end brands such as Kat Von D and the Naked palettes.

So today’s post is going to be my Makeup Revolution wishlist of things I want to try!

The 2 products I’m most excited to try is the Soph X Makeup Revolution collaboration! Popular YouTuber SophDoesNails has teamed up with Makeup Revolution to create her very own eyeshadow palette and highlighter palette. Not only is this a great opportunity for Sophie but also great news for her followers who also love the same sort of looks/shades she does.

The Soph X eyeshadow palette retails for a very affordable £10 and has a variety of matte, shimmer and foiled shades perfect for creating many different eyeshadow looks. I think this palette has a great combination of cool, warm and bright shades – I can’t see one shade out of these 24 shades that I wouldn’t use so I definitely need to get my hands on this!

The second part of the Soph X Makeup Revolution collaboration is the highlighter palette. You get 8 blinding highlighter shades for £8, which comes in at less that £1 a highlighter when you consider the packaging! All of these shades look stunning; even the last two on the bottom row which would be too dark for my fair complexion would be gorgeous as eyeshadows.

Another highlighter (are you surprised?) that I want to get my hands on is the Ice Kiss Skin Kiss highlighter. This shade looks so icy and blinding, which is exactly what I love in a highlighter. These pans are very large so you get a lot of product, for the tiny price of £5!

Recently I’ve been looking in my makeup and slowly realising that not one of my foundations actually match me…how is this possible?! The beauty industry continues to over look the extremely fair and extremely deep, what’s new. So I’ve decided the easiest option here would be to find a good foundation lightener to solve all my problems (my makeup ones at least!). I already own The Body Shop foundation lightener which is a lot of crap so hopefully this one will be better, definitely worth a go for £3.

This eyeshadow palette has been sold out every single time I’ve gone to purchase it however it appears to be in stock on Superdrug as I write this so hopefully I’ll be in luck this time! The Makeup Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave Palette looks to be the perfect smokey eye palette and has some intriguing speckled shades that I’m dying to try out. This palette is £9.99 for 30 shades, you can’t get better than that!

Please leave any Makeup Revolution recommendations in the comments below as I’d love to discover the best the brand has to offer 🙂
