I love a good face mask. Nothing feels better than taking off a full face of makeup and applying a cooling face mask to remove any excess oils and dirt from your skin, as well as making you feel oh so relaxed!
I’ve reviewed a few face masks here on Beauty Rant over the last year and you guys seem to like them, so here I am again with a new face mask review. Today I am going to share my thoughts on The Body Shop Tea Tree Face MaskEdit.
I’ve had this product in my collection for the past 2-3 months and have tried it out twice a week during this period to gather the most accurate opinion on this product for you guys 🙂
The Body Shop claim that the Tea Tree Face Mask will have the following benefits:
Cool and deeply cleanse your skin with our Tea Tree infused clay mask. Perfect for blemished complexions, the instantly cooling sensation refreshes skin, without over drying. This mask will help to clear impurities whilst absorbing excess sebum, leaving skin feeling smoother and clearer looking.
- Rinse-off cleansing clay mask for blemished skin
- With purifying tea tree oil grown in the foothills of Mount Kenya
- Deeply cleanse to remove impurities
- Soothes and calms skin
- Helps to promote clearer looking skin
Initial thoughts on this face mask upon opening is that it has a very strong tea tree smell, so if you don’t like the smell of tea tree I would definitely avoid as this is very potent! The texture is thick and moussy similar to other face mask.
Applied with a The Body Shop Facial Mask BrushEdit, it is very cooling on the skin and tingles immediately upon application.
This is a wash off face mask so it does not harden but it does become more firm as it dries down, leaving it feeling silky to the touch once completely dried. It is recommended you leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes but I generally leave it on for 20 minutes to ensure it is completely dried down and done it’s thing.
After removing the face mask with water warm my skin feels so clean; a cleanliness I have never experienced with any other skin care product. I love products from The Body Shop, they are always amazing quality despite the few duds here and there but this definitely isn’t one of them.
When using this consistantly twice a week, followed by my usual skincare routine, I can definitely confirm that I have less blemishes and the redness on my skin is diminished.
For £11, this product is amazing and a little bit goes a long way so this tub will last you ages!
I hope you enjoyed this review and leave me a comment telling me your favourite face mask 🙂
