The Autumn Tag

Autumn is without a doubt my favourite season. There’s just something so magical about the cold weather, chunky jumpers and red leaves that make me feel so cosy! Not to mention getting ready for the build up to Christmas.

So as I love autumn so much, I thought today would be the perfect time to do an autumn tag I found here which you guys can also answer on your own blogs or in the comments below by copying the questions!

1. What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

Summer seemed to have gone on forever in the UK this year so whilst I would’ve started feeling autumnal generally at the start of September, it was definitely later in the year this year! The start of autumn for me always starts with the trees turning gorgeous shades of red and orange then the yearly hunt for a cosy but stylish winter coat.

2. What is your favourite Fall scent?

I mentioned in my TK Maxx haul that my boyfriend and I love to buy vanilla and cake scented candles that to us smell exactly like autumn.

I personally detest traditional autumn scents such as cinnamon and pumpkin and much prefer sweeter smells for this time of year such as Yankee Candle scent Vanilla Cupcake.

3. What is your favourite Autumn colour?

All year round I tend to lean towards blues and purples as I feel these colours suits me best, but when autumn comes around I love to switch it up and add some vibrant reds and mustard colours into my wardrobe. I would say that my favourite autumn colour is burgundy, just because it goes with everything and screams autumn to me.

4. What is your favourite Autumn drink?

It seems everyone in the UK loves Pumpkin Spiced Latte’s except me, I can’t stand the taste of autumn spices and they make me think of drinking a Lemsip! Each year I look forward to the seasonal drinks that Costa and Starbucks release, and I especially enjoyed an orange hot chocolate last year. I’m not a big hot drink fan but when I do fancy cosying up on the sofa with a hot drink, it’s always a hot chocolate.

5. What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this Autumn?

I really want to re-watch Vampire Diaries from start to finish but I think my boyfriend will move out if I make him watch it again…so maybe not! I’m glad that Riverdale is back on Netflix -omg- if you’ve watched the first episode of Season 3, leave your thoughts in the comments below, I’m so confused!

6. What is your favourite Autumn fashion trend?

When I think of autumn fashion I instantly envision thick knit jumpers, jeans, ankle boots, big scarves and cute bobble hats. Of course, plaid and stripes have to make an appearance too – I’m a sucker for a striped jumper, I bought three last time I went clothes shopping because I couldn’t pick just one!

7. What is your favourite Autumn activity?

I don’t think Autumn is as big here as it is in America, you guys go all out. We also don’t have Thanksgiving here which sucks because that just looks like the perfect excuse to decorate your house top to bottom autumnal! The main Autumn event here is Halloween, so I love the simplicity of carving a pumpkin and trying to be more creative than the year before.

8. What is your favourite makeup look come autumnal weather?

During the summer months I like to focus on bright pops of colour for my eyeshadow and just a slick of mascara to open up my eyes, but autumn is definitely the time where I like darker more sultry olours with thick eyeliner. You just can’t beat a classic cat eye can you?
